I recently had the pleasure of interviewing William Souder, author of Under A Wild Sky: John James Audubon and the Making of The Birds of America. The book was a 2005 finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in the biography category. Beautifully written, the book evokes a time in America when great forests covered the land, passenger pigeons darkened the sky, and rivers were our only highways. If you love nature, history, true adventure or art, this book has it all. We also talked about his earlier book, A Plague of Frogs, and his current project, a biography on scientist and ecologist Rachel Carson. The interview will appear at www.bookthink.com beginning Sunday, February 28, 2010.
